The weather is looking perfect for Bank Holiday Monday Annual Grand Donkey Derby, Dog Show and Fete at Pelhams Park, Kinson BH10 7LH.
This Annual May Day event, in 2019 on Monday 6th May is organised and run by Bournemouth North Rotary Club. It’s a great day out for people of the local area and raises thousands of pounds for local groups and charities.
Over they years the show has supported many local groups to include Cherry Tree Nursery, Brendon Care Lunch Club, Kinson Food Bank, Pelhams Community Group, Bournemouth Blind Society, the MS Society, Macmillan Cancer Care local group, Dorset Children’s Foundation, local Youth Clubs and schools to name a few.
Donkey races will be taking place in the main arena, with the first donkey derby race at 11.30am. They provide lots of fun and laughter, also entertaining live music is played by Poole Borough Band and sponsored by Druitts Solicitors. Additionally bring along your dog and join the Staffie and Stray Rescue dog show, starting at 12pm. Get involved in some of the fun and more serious sections you may both win!
This year sees a new attraction is a model railway exhibition. A 00 gauge model railway track which can be seen for a small additional donation of £2 for adults and £1 for children.
The Fete is a great day of entertainment and offers enjoyment for all.
