Margaret Lloyds retired at the end of June following a long career of almost 40 years as a Private Client Solicitor dealing with Wills, Probate, Trusts and Powers of Attorney.

Margaret entered the legal profession in 1979, after completing her degree in Law at Hull University and her Solicitors Final Examinations at Chester.  She completed her legal training in the North East of England then following qualification she relocated to Poole to pursue her legal career there.

Margaret joined Druitts in 2005 as head of the Private Client Department.  Under Margaret’s experienced leadership the department grew from strength to strength.  Margaret developed the department, increasing its client base but never losing sight of the Druitts ethos that despite the modern world of increased rules and regulations, there is always room for providing clients with a personal touch, whilst still dealing with matters efficiently.

During her time at Druitts clients always spoke very highly of Margaret.  They had no hesitation in recommending her to many other people over the years.  Clients benefited from her exceptional knowledge and professionalism combined with her ability to be kind, caring and compassionate when giving legal advice. Margaret also instilled this approach in her private client team.

Chris Clifford, Director at Druitts commented, “Margaret has had such a positive impact on Druitts.  She has been generous with her time in being a source of help and advice to both clients and colleagues over the years.  I join with everyone in thanking Margaret for all her efforts and wishing her every success in the new chapter of her life”.

In retirement Margaret will enjoy spending more time pursuing her love of singing and walking, as well as continuing to be an active member of her local church.
