The 2014 annual Kinson May Day Fete, Donkey Derby and dog show, was held in Bank Holiday sunshine at Kinson Community Centre and organised by the Rotary Club of Bournemouth North.
Entertaining the crowds between races was Poole Borough Band, sponsored at the event by Druitts Solicitors. There were also plenty of stalls and traditional fun and games on hand run by local charities including Guides, Scouts, Nurseries and of course the Rotary Club itself.
The showcase event was the Donkey Derby, which featured many thrills and spills as youngsters raced each other in a series of contests and a fun dog show including prizes such as best in show and best puppy.
Over the years the fete has raised more than £100,000 for charities and good causes in the area.
