As January comes to an end and the festive season is well and truly in the past, how many people are still sticking to their New Year’s resolutions? Of the top 10 resolutions each year the first three are usually health-related with the most popular being to lose weight.

Sometimes, however, the New Year is a time for reflection with many people deciding to bring an unhappy relationship to an end.

Whatever the history behind a separation or divorce, family finances often make the process more difficult. Financial factors usually involve hundreds of questions including; How can I get a divorce?  How much will it cost?  What are we both entitled to?  What about the children?  Where are we both going to live? And so on.

If all this is not hard enough, there will also be the emotional effects of splitting from your partner to deal with, because whatever the reason for the breakdown of the relationship, it does not always make that decision to separate an easy one to take.

It may not be an easy decision to contact a divorce lawyer. However, Sam Moore and her team can help.  They appreciate and understand that going through a separation can be a very difficult and emotional time for all and that is why they always make sure that the service provided is tailored to your needs and provided in a sensitive and discreet manner.  Sam will take the time to create a solution in the most cost-effective way.

Sometimes a decision to separate can be a knee-jerk reaction to a stressful period without the parties taking the time to reflect and consider alternative solutions such as mediation or other counselling.  If it is clear that a client is undecided as to how to proceed then this is a path which Sam will often urge the client to consider all options before making any hasty decisions in relation to divorce and separation.
